In 2014, a great discovery was made at a Berlin flea market: dozens of adorable animal sketches in innovative colors, shapes, and poses. After extensive research, it turned out that these were original works by the German children's book illustrator Erich Gürtzig from the 1960s. Tinker & Borrow is an artistic initiative that aims to restore these illustrations and make them accessible to the public.
